“What started out as one time beginner dance class, turned into a monthly routine that we enjoyed together as a couple. As beginner dancers, we were both nervous to start something new but had always wanted to dance together. Helle is the warm, encouraging, and humorous instructor we needed to feel confident and genuinely enjoy dance. As a queer couple, Helle was made room for us to switch leader and follower roles, rather than following what are often more gendered dance rules. We loved working with her so much that we ultimately asked her to support us in outlining an east coast swing routine for our wedding to the song “Take a Chance in Me” by ABBA. Helle supported us in creating something fun and organic looking, rather than a more rigid routine. Helle became like a friend and we look forward to dancing with her for years to come. Starting dance lessons with helle was one of the best choices we have made with a couple. Her energy is contagious and will get you in the mood to dance even after a long work day. “
